Giselle made the trip to McGrew Motorplex for Friday night racing in the Restricted Micro. While she had raced at McGrew before in a Junior Sprint, this marked her first appearance at the track in the Restricted Micro, making it a completely different experience.

Giselle sat the fastest lap in practice but heat line ups are set with a pill draw. Giselle started fifth in her heat race. Looking to gain positions, she made an aggressive move to the outside while attempting a pass. The outside groove just wasn’t ready yet, and she made contact with the wall while trying to complete the pass. Although the move cost her several positions and left her finishing near the back of the heat, we love seeing her race with confidence and determination. That result meant she would start 10th in the feature.

When the green flag dropped for the feature, Giselle quickly found the fast line around the speedway and began charging forward. She picked off cars and worked herself into a battle for positions inside the top seven before spinning on her own, sending herself to the back of the field. After the crash, Giselle struggled to make it back through the field and finished 7th.
