Michael and Giselle made the trip to Pennsylvania this week for Hyper 600 Speedweeks with her JR Sprint. It’s a packed week of racing, and she planned to race three nights but Wednesday’s race was rained out. Giselle hit the track Thursday night at Linda’s Speedway—her first time ever seeing the place.
There were 27JR Sprints tonight! There was no qualifying, heat race starting spots were from the pill draw. Her draw placed her 4th in Heat 1. A tough start cost her some early spots, but she battled back to finish 4th, after fighting hard for 2nd and 3rd. That result put her 10th on the grid for the A-Main.
After a tough heat, she and Michael were feeling like they left a little on the table—but that lit a fire. Giselle came alive in the feature, nailing her restarts and making some strong passes. The track seemed tough for passing, but she worked her way up to finish 4th overall—a top 5 out of 27, on a brand-new track!
One more to go tomorrow night at McGrewBid motoplex! Thank you Powermax Racing Engines, Carber Racing, Hyper Racing, Flo Coating and Millbridge Print Shop!
