First race of the Saturday series at Millbridge. Giselle’s elbow has healed super fast and the pain (other than when she hit it on the counter top earlier in the day) is completely gone. Michael padded up the seat and Giselle put Tuesday behind her. I am pretty sure she forgot all about hurting her elbow. She qualified 3rd out of 21 karts. That lined her up 4th in Heat 3. She was running second, when the kart snapped around on her and she spun out with about 6 laps to go. That forced her to race the B-main, where she started 6th. The kart seemed have a little more grip in the B and she was able to finish second and transfer to the A main. The kart was still extremely loose in the A main. She had passed several cars and was running 6thish when it snapped on her again and she went for a ride coming off Turn 4. With about 9 laps to go, she went from the back of the pack to a 9th place finish. Crew chief dad missed something tonight but rest assured he will not sleep until he figures it out…literally he will not sleep.
