The night started off strong, qualifying 6th out of 38 karts. Giselle started 3rd in heat 2. She took the lead after a couple of laps and won the heat race. This locked her into the A-feature, with an outside pole starting spot. The start got a little dicey and she was shuffled back a few spots. Kart was a handful last night and Giselle ended up spinning, which put her to the back. She was able to work her way past a couple karts and ended up 12th. Crew chief slightly missed it last night in the feature. I say slightly because I have already received the “Since you know everything, I’ll let you do it all next Tuesday” remark….so I am now back pedaling. This is a new class with a learning curve for Giselle and Micheal but have no fear, Hicks is already on a mission. She is back on track at Millbridge April 8th in the Box Stock.
